Solid to great fishing on the Truckee River.

Pretty incredible March weather wise. That's got the trouts way ahead of schedule. They're feasting on about everything. Spring you will have the must abundant populations of insects in the drift. Good news, this week, we'll get some rains and cloud cover. Will be a good streamer and dry fly fishing week. 

They opened the plug at Boca, lots of water coming down the pipe on the lower river here. Wish they would save it for Fall, but that's how it is. 

The river here in Hirschdale is up to over 1,100cfs. Seems crazy to me on what's going to be a drought year to release that water right now. So it's big Spring flows around here and down into Reno. Makes the fishing good at least. The river will be much lower above the inlet of the LT, and up toward the town of Truckee. No releases out of Lake Tahoe..
