The reservoir is fully open water and the boat ramp at the State Park is back in the water. Water temps are sitting in the low 50s. Spring stocking began 4/3/26 with rainbow trout averaging 9 inches. Trout fishing has picked up with the warmer water, with most catches measuring 12″-18″ and several over 20″. Fish are still moving a little slow in the cold water, so be sure to stick to slow presentations and fish the shallows. Balanced leeches, woolly buggers and chironomids should work for fly anglers. Spin casters will have luck floating PowerBait or worms just off the bottom. Bass fishing will remain slow until warmer weather persists.
