TROUT BITE
Trophy trout were biting! Many of the Sierra Bows pulled out of the lake this week were between 6-10 lbs.! A variety of baits were used: Powerbait worms, hook up jigs, rooster tails, and inflated night crawlers.
Anglers lined up along Hermit Cove shoreline, Eagle Point, and Sentry Point to catch their trophy trout this weekend! Early morning and just before lake closing are the most opportune times to catch these fish!
Do not forget, there is fishing from the campground shoreline Monday through Friday starting at 7:30 a.m. Fresh night crawlers are now available for purchase at the Kiosk! Another jaw-dropping trout stock- ing is this week! 2000 lbs. of Sierra Bows from Mt. Lassen.
CATFISH AND PANFISH
Large catfish are on the move this time of year! You can catch them on atypical baits such as Powerbait.
CATCHES OF THE WEEK
Glen caught this 8 lbs. trout from the campground shoreline this past Thursday! He was using an orange Powerbait worm.
Chad Gierlich caught this Sierra Bow in Cloister Cove using a hook up jig. This trout weighed in at 6 1/4 lbs.
Look at Tom’s catch! This 6 1/2 lbs. trout was pulled from Her- mit Cove using a Powerbait worm on Saturday.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Bring the kids out for our Second Annual Spring Carnival! There will be an egg hunt, face painting, paddle boating, and the revered
kids pond! This event will be held on March 19th from 10 a.m.–3 p.m.
Look for the Lake Jennings booth at the Fred Hall Show March 17th- 20th! Spin the Wheel of Fishin’ for a chance to win a great prize!
