Catfish are biting very well throughout the lake, mainly in coves down deep using any stink bait such as Chicken liver, sardines, anchovies and nightcrawlers with an ounce sinker to manage the winds and currents during the day. The points past the swim beach and the canal by the entrance booth have bene great spots to also come across catfish, stripers and trout throughout the day. Bass have been biting jerk baits and some swimbaits around the lake but mainly on various soft plastics such as senkos, jogs and power worms. Over the past two weeks, we have received two trout plants allowing anglers to be able to catch them both from the shoreline and throughout the lake now. Bear trap, yellow bar and Spanish point have been great areas using nightcrawlers or powerbait with a long leader to manage the grass a bit better.
