Surprisingly, Davis has fished pretty well in July. It is not worth a long road trip or anything but if you are in the area or are a local looking for something to do one morning, Davis can be worth a try. Blood Midges fished either "Floater No Cator" or under an indicator have been working well. Damsels or Midges fished with a sinking line in 12-16 feet of water has also been effective. Most of the activity has been early to mid morning and is usually done by noon.
