Water conditions are good up near Dunsmuir. Expect warmer conditions as you fish lower in the river around Pollard Flat. As the evenings cool off, and they are getting cooler, Autumn conditions will produce better fishing. In a month, October Caddis hatches will be happening. Rubber Legs in #6-8 can work. Don't doubt Illustrator suspending a Black Zebra Midge or a #18 Red Copper John (The Red Copper John worked well the other night). If you throw nothing but #16-18 dark colored nymphs.. you should get tight to a few fish found in the bubbly pocket waters and faster glides.
