Folsom lake has gotten so low that are no more open boat ramps which can only lead to one thing, bank fishing. You don’t always have to be on a boat to have a good time fishing. I headed out to browns ravine yesterday and had a pretty decent day on the bank. Deciding where to fish is easy, just head to any point with rocks on it and cast out as far as you can. My best baits are a half ounce football jig trailed by a strike king rage menace and a VMC ike approved shaky head with a strike king finesse worm. The key is to find baits that you can get through the rocks without getting hung up so any exposed hooks are a bad idea. Most of the fish at Folsom that you are able to target from the shore will be around rocks so getting your bait in them is crucial. It’s also a good idea to have a spook or popper handy in case you see some fish busting the surface. Folsom has essentially turned back into a river. Everybody should be praying we get some rain this winter. Tight lines, Nick Lynch.

Once it was about 9:30 and I didn’t have a single fish in the box I went to dragging a texas rigged Damiki Stinger off...... Read More
