River conditions are holding and in good shape along the entire 35 mile length of the river. Sometimes winter storms can change that. You can expect to find consistently good conditions in and around Dunsmuir, CA. Fishing has been good, but reports are few and far between. It's a good time to fish this river!
A good fly box will have various sizes of Parachute Adams from #14 - 18, Dark Stonefly Nymphs in #6-8, Black Midge Nymph Patterns and #12 Bird's Nest, #18 Gordon Prince Nymphs. See suggested fly patterns in the accompanying sidebar for reference.
