Ginger from Topaz Lake checked in with a Derby update.
Ginger said, “Hi everybody! We have had a slow week fishing wise probably because of the weather. We only had 27 fish over 2 lbs turned in this week and no tagged fish. Our biggest fish of the week was 5lbs 5oz and 24in turned in by Greg Rondy. Our 2nd biggest was Haul Schlak of Gardnerville NV with a 3lb 4oz 21in rainbow trout. The derby is still going strong shore and boats are doing well. Shore Fisherman are using powerbait and worms and lures are starting to kick in again. Boats using Rapala and Flashers.”
