Applegate has been stocked with legal-sized trout, and anglers have reported good success on larger, holder trout as well. Water temperatures are probably still on the cool side. Still fishing with bait or slowly trolling a fly, lure, or wedding ring/bait combination should produce trout. Water levels have rebounded nicely, and the reservoir level is higher now than the peak in all of 2015. The Copper boat ramp is available, but Hart-tish remains closed.
