Howard Prairie will be stocked again this week with 5,000 legal-sized rainbow trout. Trophy-sized trout are still available from previous stockings. Trout fishing has been good for anglers fishing bait from the shore and for those trolling. Fishing for largemouth and smallmouth bass has been slow, but should improve with the warmer weather expected this week. All the boat ramps are open. The marina at the Howard Prairie Resort is open and boat rentals are available. The lake is now 69 percent full.
