Striper fishing action is good and probably has not quite hit a prime bite due to an abnormally hot October. Submersible lights at night should still be effective at attracting the plankton-baitfish-predatory fish chain until the full moon in mid-November. Look for the striper bite to pick up as the weather cools.

There has been a great Zara Super Spook top-water bite for many anglers at first light. Fish the mouths of Humbug, Castle Creek or Coles Bay.

Some anglers might have luck during the mid-afternoon into sunset jigging ½-ounce spoons in deeper water. Best colors are silver, white, chrome, shad color or even chartreuse with white mixed in. Casting paddletail swim baits is a good option, as well.

(Lake elevation 1,661 feet, 57 % full).
