Happy new year to everyone. Our next trout plant will be on Tuesday the 3rd of January, another 4000 lbs of triploids. Fishing has been very good this week with trout being the standout species. Fishing a night crawler and bobber have been the killer set up with firetiger or rainbow trout pattern lures coming in at a mild second. The catfish bite has slowed a little only because anglers have been targeting the trout more. The rain has been on and off with more rain forcasted for the upcoming week and through the weekend, but the fish don't seem to care they have still been biting during the rain. No reports of bass or crappie. The largest trout this week was a 7 plus pounder on a night crawler. Tidbit: A bass will eat lizards, snakes, and birds including baby ducks.
