Captain James Smith checked in this afternoon with a wrap-up from his first trip this year. We finished our boat work and had our first bay trip today. We had 15 anglers catch 6 Halibut (up to 13 pounds) and 21 shakers. We had some good action and the conditions are indicating a really good year for bay fishing.
The live bait could come as early as next weekend. We are going to hold hope that it does. Seems to be a lot of bait fish in the bay so expect to see anchovies in the tank soon.
The California Dawn has hot galley with food and drink made to order while you fish. We have posted some photos of our food from today for your viewing pleasure.
CURRENT SCHEDULE
Sunday, April 2nd - Halibut Trip
Friday, April 7th - Halibut Trip
Saturday, April 8th - Halibut Trip
Sunday, April 9th - Halibut Trip
If you would like to go fishing with us please call (510) 417-5557.
