Well, the trout bite has slowed way down for whatever reason which is not a good sign, however, the catfish bite has picked way up in the last few days. And wait for it the crappie have started to bite. Trouble is, you gotta work for them since the lake came up there is a lot more area you have to cover to find them. The small mouth bass are biting very good, you can catch them on bait as well as trolling lures. As for carp, they are just about everywhere in droves. The large mouth are following swim baits up to the boat but are not taking them very well. At least they are finally showing themselves.

Tidbits: CO2 is anatural gas and is benificial for plants which in turn release oxygen. CO2 is not harmfull to the planet like some people would have you believe. Look before you leap.

Cachuma LakeThe howling winds have finally started to subside. A few big crappie were caught this weekend in the 2-31b. range. Trout are still being caught but not in the numbers they were before. Cachuma LakeThe wind! The wind this week has been terrible with gusts to 45 mph, even the fishermen and fisherwomen in pontoons were getting wet. And to add insult to injury the shore fishers were tearing it up with worms on a bobber. Quite a few fish were lost at the boat.
