The East is still running at about 407 cfs right now and has been fishing pretty good still. At this flow it’s a little tougher than when it’s lower but there are still some good areas to fish that are holding some very nice fish. There’s been a little streamer action but it’s mostly been nymphing. Add some lead to your rig to get your bugs down near the bottom for the best success. Keep in mind that we have some excellent guides available to help you out on the river if you want some help flattening out that learning curve. Patterns to try down there include: fox’s poopah, deep sparkle pupa, z-wing caddis, buckskin caddis, wd-40, Darth baetis, zebra midge, flashback emerger, san juan worm, sculpzilla, jj special, zuddler, dead drift crayfish.
