We got to fish the lower Klamath River this week and found a mix of fall and winter fish. The river is still a little high but if you find some slow water fish it. The fish were hanging out in the slow deep water and close to the banks. We picked up all of our fish on yarn balls and couldn't get a sniff on the plugs. The reports from the guides that are fishing the mouth of the klamath are very promising the guys down there are seeing 10 to 12 fish a day and say the fish are moving up river.

We released a halfpounder that didn't make it very far a bald eagle came out of the sky and plucked it from the river. It was pretty cool to have an eagle snatch a fish out of the river 10 feet from the boat.
