Steelhead fishing was fair on the Kilchis last weekend following a good freshet on Thursday. However, it is already back on the low and clear side, and will be throughout the week, so use light gear and stealthy tactics if you fish here. There are no hatchery releases in the Kilchis so this is mostly a catch-and-release fishery, although the odd hatchery stray does get caught. There should be fish throughout the system.
