Fish Lake was stocked last week with another 4,500 legal-size and 500 larger-size rainbow trout. Tiger trout, Chinook salmon and brook trout also are available. Trout fishing has been good for both bank and boat anglers. Larger tiger trout can be targeted by casting lures or streamer flies around structure, but remember that tiger trout must be immediately released unharmed.
The lake is currently 82 percent full. The Forest Service Campground is open, and the Fish Lake Resort—which offers camping, cabins, boat rentals, and a restaurant—will be open seven days a week staring Wednesday.
