There will be a kids (age 12 and under) fishing event at Eel Lake this Saturday, June 2 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Eel Lake was stocked this month with legal-size trout. There are also plenty of holdover rainbow trout and wild cutthroat trout for anglers to catch. Trolling spinners is the best way to cover water and catch trout this time of the year.

Bluegills and crappies are starting to concentrate next to weedlines. Anglers will have success fishing small jigs suspended under a bobber in the deep water next to the weedlines.
