Water Conditions: Blown Out. Lots of snow along the I-5 corridor.

Fishing Conditions & Hatches: Nymphing with Black Midges, P.T's, Red Copper Johns, and especially Baetis Nymphs patterns, such as Micro Mayfly Olive and Eric's Lightnin' Biot Baetis! Nymphing the slower-moving pools is going to produce more fish this time of year, but there have been some good baetis hatches with possible dry fly action in the afternoons.

The Fly Shop's Tips: Since the Upper Sac has been open year-round, we've never had a really dry winter like this one. The river's fishable right now (very rare this time of year) and it may be years before we have the opportunity again to fish it in February and March.
