Green Peter Reservoir - Sweet, OR (Linn County)

Stocking scheduled for the week of April 10 has been postponed due to water conditions.

The water elevation in the reservoir has been increasing over the last few weeks and is now completely full.  Both Whitcomb Island and Thistle Creek boat ramps are available now for anglers to launch boats. Best bet for anglers without a boat is to drive to the top of the reservoir where Quartzville Creek enters the reservoir. Large trout will sometimes forage where the river brings in food swept down from upstream. Check the US Army Corps of Engineer’s website for more information.

Trout as well as bass are good options for anglers this time of year. Look for them near ledges and drop-offs as well as near underwater structure. Kokanee fishing is heating up with most fish in the 8- to 9-inch range. The bag limit for kokanee is 25 fish per day in addition to the 5 trout daily limit.
