Father’s Day was busy with families enjoying fishing and boating over the weekend. The weather was overcast until late morning and early noon. The fish are being in the morning and evening.

A couple of catfish were caught on garlic night crawlers. A largemouth bass was caught on a flicker shad. A trout was caught on a fire tiger flicker shad off the point at Harvey’s Cove. The bass and crappie are being caught in the reeds and under submerges trees or logs.

The weather was absolutely beautiful this weekend! Sweetwater Bay is hopping from the shore! Bass and crappie were caught using jigs and night crawlers. Catfish were caught in the bay off of a boat using the same bait. One angler took a chartreuse crappie jig and put a 1/4 of a garlic night crawler on the hook and caught over 10 crappie trout and bass off the shore. What a great week for fishing! The weather was windy and rainy but that didn’t stop the anglers. On May 26, 24 bass were caught on white and chartreuse spinner bait. On the same day another angler caught 3 bass on Kastmasters and 6 bass on rattle traps and Rapalas. Bass and crappie are in sunken trees and deep water.
