The reservoir is 34 percent full and 60 degrees. All boat ramps are closed at this time due to dropping reservoir levels. Inflatables and kayaks can probably still launch from some areas, and trout fishing should be good with cooling water temperatures.
The marina and restaurant are now closed for the season, but the resort campground remains open until the end of October.
Anglers reported some success by trolling worms or lures or still fishing with PowerBait while anchored in deeper water. Water clarity is good now at Howard Prairie.
