The FFP guides have been having a lot of good days on the Warm Spring to Trout Creek run. The crew are finding some steelhead and plenty of trout. Travis even got a steelhead up to a skater and to the net last week so that was very, very cool.

Nymphing has been our best success, with Stonefly nymphs, October Caddis Pupa, Cheeseburgers, Prince, Lightning Bug, Jig PT, Copper John and Sparkle Pupa’s.
Smart anglers looking for trout will also put Micro Mayflies, Zebra Midges, Caped Avengers and tiny Flashback PT’s.

For steelhead fish are coming to nymphs, but the excitement of the game is best on a swung fly. Scandi style is still good with water temps being perfect for swing traditional wets. Certainly Skagit with tips and a big fly will be best in the morning when the water temps have fallen overnight.
