Another slow week for fishing. The temperature has been dipping down to the mid 30’s at night and the wind and rain have hampered most fishing efforts. A good size Catfish was caught on mackerel in Harvey’s Cove off the shore. A few medium sized bass were caught, mostly on flicker shads and roboworms. Trout remains elusive, with only a few reported being caught in Cachuma Bay.

The weather continues to be cool in the mornings and sunny in the afternoon. Bass have been biting for the past few days. Several have been reported as large as 20” both small and largemouth. One angler broke the bass streak by catching two trout, one 18” and one 22” on night crawlers. A few caught catfish on catfish dough off a boat around the island close to the reeds. ...... Read More
