We just got home from Argentina and I have been jealous hearing stories about good the Metolius has been since we left.

March is an excellent month for the Metolius. The trend is always good in March with more hatches, more mature nymphs in the drift and longer and warmer days.

BWO’s, and lot’s of Caddis dominate the hatch cycle right now. Very soon, expect to see increasing hatches of #14-16 Cinygmula mayflies (your PMD patterns from Summer match these perfectly) and you can add some great fishing on Stonefly Nymphs, small mayfly droppers, Caddis Pupa, Zebra Midges, #16-18 hares ears, Perdigons and Jigs.
Bull Trout fishing has been really good on Streamers! Definitely worth the effort.

Should be good all month, so see you in the shop or on the river.
