Staff pick their favorite fly patterns on the Truckee River - right now!!!

Fourteen of the flies Reno Fly Shop staff and guides are currently using on the Truckee River.

No we aren’t bad at counting, staff just couldn’t stop at 12 when asked to pick their favorite Truckee River flies they are currently using.

We update this selection frequently based upon flow conditions, seasonality and what we are having success with on the big Truckee in both Nevada and California.

You can think of these as the flies du jour for the Truckee River.

Flies included (also available individually): Nemec Stonefly 3x, Carotene 3x, Hot Cheek 2x, G-String 2x, Bead Head Squirmy Worm 4x (pink 2x & red 2x)
