My client Jerry B got his first taste of McCloud Reservoir what a day, a big bear to start and awesome BBQ brown trout to finish.

McCloud Reservoir has been amazing this week. Fantastic action on 6 to 15 inch Trout with the occasional 16 to 20 incher in the mix. You can't go wrong with 30 plus fish days and amazing scenery that McCloud provides.

Jerry and I started off the morning with a visit by Mr. Black Bear. Watch the VIDEO.  He clearly was not afraid of us  but rather annoyed we disturbed his drink lol.

After the our Bear watching Jerry proceeded to enjoy his first visit to McCloud. Catching an releasing a majority of the fish we caught, Jerry took home a limit of Trout, most of which were Browns. These are some of the best tasting trout around with beautiful orange color meat. These were also Jerry's first brown trout ever, and he was quite excited. Jerry is not your normal 75 year old he showed the giddiness of young child when that first brown came aboard. It was a cool experience.

The McCloud experience is one you should not miss out on. Check out pictures from our trip and past reports/pictures and you can see McCloud is fantastic time and will fish all summer.
