Finally the start of the 2020 fishing season is here and things seem to slowly be getting back to a glimpse of normal life after a very long past few months for ALL of us!!!!  We have been working hard here at Silver Lake Resort to conform to all the new guidelines and regulations Mono County and the State of California have put on us to help provide a safe and enjoyable recreation experience for all of our guests.  We know and understand how important the ability to recreate in the beautiful Eastern Sierra and the June Lake Loop is to everyone and we will continue to do our absolute best to make sure we provide this in a safe manner for all to enjoy.  Everything is open here at Silver Lake Resort, with the Store, Cafe and Marina opening a few weeks ago, our RV Park opening last week and our Cabins finally getting the approval from Mono County to get rolling this past Friday June 12; seven weeks later then we all wanted but we are happy to be up and running now.  The US Forest Service Campgrounds are also all open in the entire June Lake Loop for your recreating enjoyment.

Fishing here at Silver Lake has been spectacular over the past two weeks if you love to catch the big ones!!!  We have had an 8 pounder, several 7 pounders and countless 6 and 5 pound Rainbows rolling in this past week caught on a wide range of products.  Berkley Pinch Crawlers, Rainbow Glitter Garlic, Pautzkes Dough Baits, worms, flies and spinners like Thomas Buoyants and Kastmasters have all seen their day in the sun lately.  We have not seen a lot of stringers of fish but the quality is out of this world.  We hope that as the State continues to stock and catch up so that we start to see some more consistent catching throughout the lake. We should also be getting another nice load of Oregon Brute stock Rainbows probably in the next two weeks.
