Fishing on the lower twin is testing angler’s patience and skill level. Hot temperatures and stormy afternoons continue to push the fish deep. With the runoff from a weak winter long gone, fish are on the move. People trolling are still seeing the best results. 30’+ trolling depth while cruising at 3-4mph should do the trick. The top trolling lures have been f-11 Rapalas, copper/orange speedy shiner, gold Phoebes, U-20 flatfish/Maglips. Top baits have been Sierra Slammer grasshopper mini jigs, garlic powerbait, inflated nightcrawlers, salmon eggs and pink n white mine tails. With a fish planting from Desert Springs Fish Hatchery on the way, anglers should be seeing an increase in activity. Huge thanks to all who have contributed to the TRL fish fund. Through donations, Twin Lake Resort is able to stock these trophy trout.
