Big bass have been caught frequently near the narrows on crank baits as well as large senkos. Crappie are not biting very often with most preferring live bait. Bluegill are biting very actively near the rental dock shore lines as well as the boat ramp area and night crawlers are the favorite bait for them. Tilapia are being caught often, all on larger night crawlers. Catfish are being caught near the dam area on chartreuse red worms.

Bass Action Has Been Good
Lake HodgesBass are biting very actively around the dam area. They are going for crank baits towards deeper water. Bass are also biting around our handicap dock and along the shorelines on plastics. Crappie are not very active but those that are being caught are going for white jigs and also blue and chrome color crank baits.
