Topwater lures, crankbaits and wacky rigged stick baits are all catching largemouth bass especially in the bays and arms of the lake.
Yellow perch fishing continues to be excellent for anglers fishing from a boat or fishing from a dock this past week. Yellow perch have been in 15-20 feet of water and are biting on small jigs or a worm on a hook. Some of the yellow perch harvested have measured up to 13 inches long. If you fish and area for 10-15 minutes without a bite, it’s time to move to another location.
The wild coho fishery opened on Tenmile Lake on Oct. 1. Anglers are allowed to harvest 1 wild coho per day and 5 for the season in aggregate with Siltcoos and Tahkenitch lakes. The Tenmile Lake level is still too low this past weekend to allow any decent number of coho to enter the lakes.
