Water Conditions: Fair, showing 4 cfs as of 2/12
The flow gauge on Mammoth Creek is not accurate, probably due to ice. I've stopped by the weir the last 2 days and the flows are definitely lower.
Fishing Conditions and Hatches: Fair-Good
Parking is now at the end of the pavement at Hot Creek Ranch and access is by snowshoe, skis or snowmobile. the reduced fishing pressure has been a blessing on hot creek. If you're willing to work for it, the fishing is really good. due to low water levels and spooky fish, dry droppers have been a great option at hot creek right now. Small mayfly and midge patterns are your best bet at a successful day.
