The Little Truckee River is fishing best right now for anglers using primarily smaller flies. Try using any small baetis, midge, or san juan worm patterns for best results. Towards Stampede Reservoir, try using some larger patterns like pheasant tails and crane flies. Right now there are some good mid-day hatches of small pale morning duns and blue winged olives. Dry fly favorites include small blue winged olives, midges or gnat patterns on the Little Truckee River
