At Alamo Lake (report courtesy of Arizona State Parks), ranger Matt Ogden reports that fishing is good. Bass are biting on topwater baits early morning and evening. They are also being caught on spinner baits, jerk baits, crank baits, and plastics in the brush. Crappie have been caught by trolling small crank baits and jigs with minnows. Fish 15 to 20 feet down near brush lines. Catfish are being caught close to shore as they come in to spawn. Night crawlers and live shad suspended under bobbers have been working well.
