Trout fishing continues to be good in Eel Lake for both boat anglers and bank anglers fishing from the fishing dock. Boat anglers have been picking up a few trout by trolling with wedding ring spinners tipped with a worm. Anglers are catching trout from the fishing dock casting spinners or suspending bait off the dock. Anglers are also catching juvenile coho salmon which are not legal to harvest and must be released immediately unharmed.
Crappie will start transitioning from deep water to the weedline edges. On warm sunny days crappies could be found feeding in shallower water.
