Largemouth and smallmouth bass have been biting top waters, spinner baits and various soft plastic setups along the shorelines and in coves around the lake. With all of the grass that have been growing, weedless setups with flukes or senkos and finesse rigs like smaller drop shot set ups have been working best to come across the bass. Catfish have been biting very consistently in coves, off sandy beaches and drop offs throughout the lake on Sardines, anchovies, chicken liver and even night crawlers. Strips have still been eaten cut baits, mainly fresh sardines over the past few weeks with a longer leader to manage the grass that has grown. No boils have been seen as of yet but stripers are starting to come up more towards the surface.
