The shores of the Colorado River here below the Davis Dam have some of the best fishing opportunities for fishing. This time of year its our stripped bass that most anglers target in this area. We do have some small mouth bass and a few catfish to go after but the stripers are one of the favorite. These fish but up a great battel and are one of the best on the grill.

Our anglers Mason and Justin Wolfchief were fishing off of a friends dock below Community Park and landed these stripers. They were bait fishing and using anchovies. While our local angler Mike Merritt was out fishing on his sea doo and showed up with a nice stringer of stripers. He was fishing from his water craft using anchovies in the lower big bend area. These are just examples of what areas we have that can and do produce fish. We hope this helps some and you get a chance to get out there and get a line wet.  Both sides of the river by shore or boat we have some great fishing for both bait anglers and those that like  a little more action and choose to throw a lure.
