August 1 opens the upper stretch of the river this water is much cooler and has the Coleman fish hatchery in Battle Creek .Also trout open from kewswick dam to 44 brigde .This stretch has been closed since april,for the twinter salmon conservation  program .Please call for any openings to fish for  King Salmon  fishing and Wild Rainbows .
