With a lot of smoke in the area, the upper level of the lake is cooling a little. The lake is low and giving up a lot of spots right now. The Pit arm, Jones Valley, will get you into some good action. Find a mud line and throw a crayfish fly on a full sinking line to bounce it off of the bottom. The Whiplash Cray and Bouncing Crawfish are good choices here. A lot of anglers are using the Float 'N Fly set up fishing six to nine feet deep, the basic shad color is working, but the black and olive Balanced Leeches are working well too. You can set up using the Jaydacator Float N Fly indicator to get deep. You may get into some top water action if you play your cards right, fish a Swimming Frog or a Rubberleg Largemouth Popper. Fluorocarbon tippet can help if the fish aren't willing to eat, sometimes the little details will help you out. Summer bass can be a lot of fun on the big lake!
