Water temps have started to drop, and the dissolved oxygen has been increasing which means the trout are starting to move around. The bite near the dam is still great, but trollers have been catching fish as far east as Windy Point. The depths have changed, too. As usual, the higher the sun is, the deeper the fish are. Depending on the time of day they can be found anywhere from the surface to about 20 feet deep. Bait and lure choices are still wide open.

The bass bite has also improved. They can be found holding tight to the shore over rocky points and around the docks and weedlines. Soft plastic worms, craws, and creature baits have been effective. Crankbaits and swimbaits have also been doing the trick.
