The striper bite really picked up last week. Hopefully, it’s the beginning of the fall bite. The striper ate jumbo live sardines, cut baits, and lug worms fished on the bottom, but they also fell for Flukes, jerkbaits, and small swimbaits. Catfishing was also good with anglers reporting numerous big whisker fish. The catfish ate dip bait, chicken liver, and nightcrawlers. Bass have been biting better lately, and anglers reported using Senkos and drop shot Flukes for bites. Topwater took several quality bass as well.
