The store, restaurant and marina are open Friday-Sunday, and the boat ramp should be available again. Call 541-949-8500 or check their Facebook page for more info. The ODOT trip check camera shows some light snow along OR140. You can check the camera here. Expect a relatively nice weekend along the cascade crest in S. Oregon with temperatures in the low 50s.
The current lake level is 29 percent full and the lake is filling slowly with input from natural springs and recent precipitation. The USFS dock should be getting close to usable, but anglers only have a few more weeks before the lake begins to ice over.
Fish lake received 900 pounder trout back in October. Water clarity should be excellent. Recent reports have indicated fishing has been good.
For more information on National Forest developed recreation sites, fire restrictions and campground information for the Rogue River Siskiyou National Forest please visit here. Snow park permits are necessary for parking from November 1-April 30.
Any tiger trout caught should be immediately released unharmed. Anglers are encouraged to report their catch or any other fish stories to Rogue Fish District Staff 541-826-8774.
