We haven’t heard any news from the Rosachi section of the EW for several weeks, this is pretty typical for January as it’s cold, snowy and there’s so much other stuff for folks to be doing. We’ll keep you posted when we have any new information on the river!

 

We had a few anglers on the Ranch over the last couple weeks, the water is low and cold but the ones I was able to get a report from did get into some fish, and a couple nice 20+ inchers too. I wouldn’t say the fishing was red-hot but they did have some success. Most of the fish I know of were caught on small nymph and midge patterns, nothing on dries or streamers so far.

We haven’t heard any news from the West Walker lately though it is open for barbless catch and release fishing in the Winter now. If we hear anything we’ll pass it along.

RANDOM INFORMATION: It’s been a pretty cold January so far, lots of the snow we got last month hasn’t melted and is hanging into the shady areas quite a bit. We will likely be in much better shape for water this coming season in the area but we would certainly welcome a few more good snow storms to carry us with a good snow pack through the summer.
