With the water level still being low, anglers have had better luck further down the shoreline past the swim beach area in deeper water to catch Striper and Catfish throughout the day. Most anglers have been using up to an ounce sinker with a long leader not only to manage the winds and current but to fish as far out as possible. Sardines, Chicken Liver and mackerel have been working well from the shoreline and around the lake mainly either in the coves or off of points throughout the lake. Some people have had luck spooning for deeper stripers out by the island and trolling the lake with a heavy kastmaster or lead head with a presentable paddle tail trailer. Bass are biting deeper down off crank baits and varies finesse style sot pasltic baits along the bottom near steep walls and rocky outings.
