The reservoirs are ice-free. Weeds are still visible from shore. Kayak anglers are fishing for healthy rainbows with good results. Action will continue to pick up as water temperatures grow warmer.

South Fork Reservoir: As of Thursday, March 3, South Fork was 90% open water
Ruby Lake NWR: Very small dry flies have also been effective on warmer afternoons
