Ashurst Lake - Road access to Ashurst Lake is open. Water clarity is good. Fishing has been slow, but some folks have been catching nice 15- to 20-inch rainbow and brown trout on PowerBait, worms, small lures, and flies (#10 black bead headed simi seal leeches and wooly buggers). The lake level is low, but launching a small boat is possible. There are some large exposed boulders on the boat launch to watch out for. Only boats with a 10-horsepower motor or less are allowed on Ashurst Lake.
