Our striper bite is going well both here along the shores of the beautiful Colorado River or up on Lake Mohave. Our local angler Mike Merritt has been doing well landing these stripers using anchovies. you might find him out on his jet ski fishing in various spots along our river. Yes the jet ski makes a great fishing boat and can be outfitted to accommodate most anglers needs to have all the equipment and other fishing gear one might bring along. These one-to-4-pound stripers are being picked up on Lake Mohave in the coves near the dam one the Arizona side and near the power lines. I have heard of some anglers having luck trolling with as umbrella rig in the Basin area.
Below the dam its shore or boat to find our schooling stripers the casino area on both sides have been producing well along with the big bend park area. It's been a bit slow for the largemouth bass and small mouth bass bite with plastics' working the best. The topock marsh area has been slow also the water levels have caused a bit of a stir in that area and the fish seem to have been moving around making them a little harder to bring to the boat.
Hope this helps some for now and we look forward to seeing you in soon to share that catch and weigh in your fish. Mostly thanks so much for all of your support
