Fat Trout Monday, the guys killed it, we caught a lot (30 fish) and kept few for the BBQ.

Trout action at Shasta Lake is a no-brainer. Fantastic fishing ( 20 to 30 fish days) for Trout (Most Rainbows and a few Browns) in the 1 to 6 pound class has been hot. 

Trolling Shad type baits (plugs, dodgers an spoons, grubs) at speeds between 1 an 4 mph and at depths between 45 and 95 feet have been producing best.

These fish are feeding heavily on the shad and limits of these tasty fish are easy. The meat is excellent baked , grilled or smoked.
